Lindsay and I just returned from a little lake time/wedding planning at her cottage in Wisconsin. Lake Poygan is what I consider paradise and no place will bring you back down to earth like the Midwest.
I didn’t take many photos while I was there (which is really, really weird!). However, I did get one I like of my good buddy, Brady. If all kids were like Brady I think Lindsay and I would have ten.
I chose this photo because of the flag and the way it makes me feel more than anything.
As soon as my heels hit the dock it reminds me I’m in the middle of America, surrounded by the pride of long time American companies like Harley Davidson. It makes me want to work for my weekends, water-ski up the river, eat barbeque, and visit with family. I love every second of it.

Love that photo -it reminds me of WI as well. I grew up there but have lived in CO for the past 14 years but I go back as often as I can. It IS a magical place with wonderful people. We were always 5 mins away from waterskiing the lakes, fishing, and riding the trails. But sitting on the dock watching the sun go down on a hot summer night with a beer in hand is heaven. Thanks for the reminder!
