I have been catching up on my blogging after being gone for the last three weeks for my own wedding in Wisconsin.

Kristi and Jeff had a small, quiet wedding of 19 people at the Cordillera Lodge and Spa here in the Vail Valley. The day started out clear and sunny, but things soon turned stormy up at the lodge. Despite the weather, they decided to continue with the outside wedding anyway. Love it! About ten minutes into the ceremony the light sprinkle turned into a rather hard rain. Luckily, Kristi and Jeff never stopped smiling and the weather cleared for our portrait session later.

Congrats Kristi and Jeff! What beautiful pictures. I’ve been looking into Cordillera for my wedding and these photos make it seem stunning! I’ve looked at their wedding page a lot ( but it’s really cool to come across photos from an actual wedding that took place there. Thanks Shane for the great shots.

Shane, I started writing down the images I liked most and ran out of paper! Damn man–stellar job. Definitely one of your best. Congrats to both the couple and to you and your creative skills!

Great stuff Shane, love the light on this last image, love the photo of mom and dad kissing under the umbrella, and love the shot that is third from the top, of the bride, the shallow depth of field is perfect for that image.
