On my drive over to Estes Park from Vail to meet Laura for her bridal portraits, I was trying to invision how our shoot would go; it was a windy, late November day at 8,000+ feet, and Laura is from Texas…….. hmmmmmm. Well, then again, Laura did pick a January 2nd wedding to take place in the haunted music room of the Stanley hotel, so I expected it to go just fine.

We took a few shots in the hotel. Then, as the temperature dropped and the wind picked up, we drove up into the Rocky Mountain National Park. It was freezing outside, but Laura responded with nothing but grace. She sat in the car with the heat on full blast until the last second. Then, somehow, she came out into the cold and acted like it was a calm beautiful day. I can’t thank Laura enough for putting everything she had into this and making the most of our situation. I do think the images were worth it!
