The first time I met Lindsay, I was flying back from photographing a wedding in Colorado. We sat in the same row on the plane and since she used to be a photographer as well, we had a lot to talk about. By the end of our flight to Seattle, I gave Lindsay my card and asked her to send over a critique of my work. A few weeks later she called to ask me about documenting her wedding day. Crazy.
Lindsay and Brett’s wedding was like no other I’ve ever experienced–an untraditional, intimate, mid-week summer solstice wedding at her family cottage on Lake Wasa. They were surrounded by a small group of family, friends, and of course their dogs–all the essentials. Portraits were really important to Lindsay, so she made sure we had a ton of time to visit some really special locations that trace back to her childhood.
I must thank my amazing wife Lindsay for driving me through the night back to Seattle so I could make my Friday flight. I couldn’t do it with out you.
Here are a few of my favorite images.
Well done sir. That silhouette with the bird outside is incredible.
